WATERLOO, ON | July 27, 2018 – FoxNet hits the fairway again this year for its 16th annual charity golf tournament in support of local non-profit organizations. Last year, the event raised over $12,000 to assist with programs and services for KidsAbility and Waterloo Region Junior Achievement.
The company hopes proceeds from its Thursday, August 23 tournament will be on par with – or exceed – last year’s total. Bill Fox, President of FoxNet, says supporting organizations in the local community is about sharing success – and having fun.
“Participating in fundraising initiatives is a passion that is deeply rooted in our company culture and our team,” says Fox. “We are excited about what we do and we want to share that level of excitement with the community in ways that make Waterloo Region a better place to live.”
FoxNet’s team of fun, talented and experienced IT experts have organized several fundraising campaigns. In 2013, FoxNet organized “Shave Bobby’s Mo” for Movember, which raised $7,000 for KidsAbility and Nutrition for Learning. The company also participates in the Big Brother and Big Sister Bowl for Kids every year and was named the Top Tech Fundraiser in 2012.
KidsAbility of Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington empowers special needs children and youth to realize their full potential. Junior Achievement provides programs in the areas of financial literacy, including entrepreneurship and work readiness, to students in Waterloo Region.
